Registration now open for the 2020 ELECT Conference, a unique opportunity to meet ELECT staff and gain program-specific professional development, share best practices, and learn skills to better serve the expectant and parenting teens of Pennsylvania. Registration includes lunch on Wednesday, April 15 and Thursday, April 16.

To attend the conference, you must be a Pennsylvania resident and affiliated with an ELECT program including: personnel employed by the 29 ELECT grantees (program coordinators, case managers, ELECT grantee management and data specialists); representatives of ELECT subcontracts (i.e. Communities In Schools, Guidance Center; Community Action Partnership); case managers/personnel who deal directly with ELECT participants and are subcontracted by the ELECT school district/intermediate unit program; and representatives of any cyber or charter schools serving students in the state of Pennsylvania.

Required attendance per ELECT Program:

  • The program coordinator and one case manager are required to attend the conference in its entirety
  • Data specialists and more than two staff per program are encouraged to attend the entire conference

Payment

  • Online Registration – We accept check/money order, purchase order and credit card via the online registration process.
  • Onsite Registration – We accept payment by credit card or check only.
  • Payment by Check – Make checks payable to CSIU/Center for Safe Schools and send to Center for Safe Schools, Attn. Athena Herring, 275 Grandview Avenue, Suite 200, Camp Hill, PA 17011. Include a copy of your confirmation email with the check.

Terms of Registration

Submission of your conference registration authorizes the Center for Safe Schools to publish in any format and use for promotional and educational purposes your name and any photos, videos and audio recordings taken of you at the conference. It also authorizes the Center for Safe Schools to contact you by mail, phone or email.

Continuing Education Credits

The Center for Schools and Communities, as a division of the Central Susquehanna Intermediate Unit, offers Act 48 professional development credit for those with Pennsylvania teaching or administrative certificates. Participants MUST attend session(s) from beginning to end and list their professional personnel ID (PPID) number on the appropriate Act 48 paperwork supplied by the Center for Schools and Communities to receive credit. If you are interested in receiving Act 48 credit, check the appropriate box on the registration form. Retrieve your PPID number from the PERMS and bring it with you to the conference.

The Pennsylvania Chapter of the National Association of Social Workers (NASW) will be awarding CE’s for completion of approved workshops. A certificate fee of $15 for NASW members and $30 for non-members will be charged and can be paid directly to NASW-PA. NASW CE packets will be available at the conference registration desk. Delay and Cancellation Policy

In the event of inclement weather (snow, ice, flooding, etc.) or other emergencies, events may be delayed or cancelled. Participants are responsible for calling the Center for Schools and Communities automated voice messaging system at (717) 763-1661, option 3 after 6:30 a.m. the day of the event. The system is updated as conditions change, so it is necessary to call for any changes prior to leaving for your scheduled event.

Cancellation and Refund Policy

Refunds (minus a $25 administrative/processing fee) will be granted to registrants who cancel their registration via email no later than Monday, February 17, 2020. Cancel Registration

Refunds will not be provided to registrants who neither cancel nor attend the event. Confirmed registrants who are unable to attend the event may send a substitute in their place at no additional cost. ELECT reserves the right to cancel the conference. In the unlikely event that this occurs, participants will receive a full refund.
