2019 Education Leading to Employment and Career Training Conference
April 10 – 12, 2019 | Holiday Inn, Grantville, Pa.
In 1990 a unique partnership was established between the Pennsylvania Departments of Education and Human Services. This partnership resulted in the creation of the Education Leading to Employment and Career Training (ELECT) Initiative. ELECT was designed to expand the services of existing teen parent programs and provide comprehensive support services to students who meet the income eligibility requirements.
This statewide conference – with topics relating to expectant and parenting teens – is an opportunity to meet ELECT staff and gain program-specific professional development, share best practices, and learn skills to better serve the expectant and parenting teens of Pennsylvania.
Required Attendance per ELECT Program
- The program coordinator and one case manager are required to attend the conference in its entirety
- Data specialists are welcome to attend the entire conference, but are only required to attend the data session on April 12
Programs are highly encouraged to bring more than two staff.
Sponsored by Pennsylvania’s Departments of Education and Human Services, in partnership with the Center for Schools and Communities.
